Put it out there...

And it will come back to you. Sometimes I am truly amazed by this universe we live in. You know how sometimes you have a problem (big or small) or even just a question and once you start thinking about it, the answer comes right to you? Well, maybe not right to you but within a relatively short period of time. I have had that happen a few times these last few weeks and I can't help but send out thoughts of amazed thanks whenever I experience it.

First, I had mentioned to Terri that I needed a very specific kind of software that I wasn't having any luck finding online. A few days later she came to work and she had just happened to find exactly what I was looking for as she was cleaning out some drawers at home. Awesome! And then (and yes, I know this is incredibly nerdy) I have been trying to figure out if I am using was / were in the right context. You know, as in "I wish I was..." or "I wish I were..." I had been thinking about it for a few weeks and what do you know? I just happened upon an article about the subjunctive mood in English thanks to Ms. Beyonce Knowles' song "I wish I were a boy" (a current pop song in case you are wondering). Again today, as I was about to get out of the car NPR had a segment about the subjunctive mood - apparently I am not the only one it confuses. Amazing! You may argue that this kind of stuff is just coincidence but I know that it is more than that. I don't know exactly what it is but it makes me happy and thankful to feel like there is some energy out there helping me solve my daily puzzles.
