In the last two days I have had the opportunity to get together with some of my old friends from years past. We all stay in touch through email and phone calls but I just realized this week how much I truly enjoy seeing them all and spending time with them. The "girls" and I all met 12 years ago through work and had the pleasure of working together for years. They are some of those few people in your life that you know will be your friends when you are old. They are all doing so well right now and it gives me so much joy to know that they are happy. The "boys" and I also met through work about 5 years ago. We have all been through a lot together and I always love getting together with them to catch up.
I remember when I had just moved to Dallas I would see groups of close friends out together and wish for that type of friendship. I feel so fortunate to have that bond now with these groups as well as a few other chosen few. Knowing that your friends are there thinking about you and wishing the best for you always makes my day brighter.
