Rub for Good Luck

Last month when Milo was sick there were a few weeks when he didn't eat as much as he normally does. Man, has he been making up for lost time since then... He apparently ate with such gusto at his preschool's pizza day last week that both his teacher and the director of the school brought it up to me later. Ms. Jenny just kept shaking her head and smiling with wonder at the memory.

The kid can put it down and he has the belly to prove it. A few weeks ago I was changing him into his PJs and had just taken his shirt off. He looked down at his tummy like it was the first time he had ever noticed it. He started rubbing it with both hands and smiling. He has done that a few times since. I think he is developing a close bond with the belly.

Mark and I were cracking up again last night because after dinner Milo was seriously rockin' the Buddha belly. His little tummy was so round and hard that he was literally waddling around. To make matters worse, he has been growing so much that his pajamas are on the verge of being too small which means his belly pokes out more often than not.

He is still really good about eating his fruits and veggies at most meals so I am not too worried about him. He is just a growing boy that needs some (OK... lots of) sustenance. Just know that while he has got it, it won't hurt my feelings if you want to rub his belly for luck.
