We met Lynn's son, Brian, and his family for the first time this weekend. Everyone came over to the house on Saturday and we all spent the day getting to know one another. It was a perfectly beautiful day in every sense of the word.
Brielle is seriously one of the sweetest little babies ever. She was an angel all day. Brian and Tennille were a joy as well. They definitely fit right in!

I have been fortunate to get to know Brian a bit through email but this was the first time getting to talk to Tennille. She is so much fun! She kept us all laughing and brought smiles to all of our faces throughout the day. And she has a PhD! How cool is that?!

Sarah came down for the weekend too despite feeling a little under the weather. I am so thankful she could make it. Sweet baby Holden (or Baby Holdie as Milo calls him) came down as well. We missed the other boys but I was thankful to get to spend some time with Sister nonetheless.

Between some fabulous BBQ for lunch and Mexican food for dinner, we found plenty of time for fun. The boys enjoyed breaking in the new Rockband drum set.

Oh, and we might have taken a few photos... We warned Brian and Tennille that we are a family of photogs and we proved that a few times over. They got in on the action too though.

One of my favorite shots of the day...

Sarah took the family photo of our whole group which I will snatch from her when I get the chance. I couldn't wait to memorialize our day though. As I said, it was a perfect day. We ate, talked, played and began getting to know Brian and his family.
As they drove away that night my heart was light. The day was such a blessing and was a clear reminder that family is so important. I am incredibly thankful for the time to get to know Brian, Tennille and Brielle - our new California family - and for sharing the day with everyone in our Texas family.
