Today is a big day! It is primary election day in Texas. I can't wait to see who comes out ahead on the Democratic ticket - and the Republican ticket for that matter. Earlier in the office today we had one person who had voted for Obama (would you like to guess who?), one for Clinton and one for Huckabee. It sounds like he (Huckabee) might have a big day in Texas since there are a lot of conservative Christians around. It is all very interesting!
There is one other reason that it is a big day... I put on a pair of my pre-pregnancy work pants this morning and they fit perfectly. How exciting! I have actually pulled a few items out of the "other" closet in the last few weeks (the "other" closet being the one that does not house any "fat" clothes). Of course, I do have a ways to go toward reaching my ultimate goal but so far I have been getting a little closer each week. I guess it is really true when that say that "it takes 9 months to put it on and 9 months to take it off." Of course, in my case I started putting it on a before I actually got pregnant AND the other day I saw a friend of ours who has a 3 month old and she was a little twig - the mom, not the 3 month old - but I digress. Needless to say, it is good to feel a little bit like my old self and it sure is expanding my wardrobe options to be able to go back to the pre- clothes.
