We had a nice Halloween on Friday. Lynn came over to help us celebrate and Milo got to dress up and help us answer the door in his costume. However, his specialty was closing the door. I think it was his favorite part of the night. I promise... more pictures to come soon.
Yesterday was our friend Brad's birthday so we went over to his neck of the woods for brunch. We came home, I finished the Twilight series (which I enjoyed immensely), Milo took a good nap and then Brad came over later for a birthday dinner. A very nice day all the way around.
Today? Not so much. Milo has been getting over a cold but today he woke up with a serious resurgence. This morning he was coughing like crazy and his little nose was running like a faucet - literally. I think I wiped his nose 200 times today. He was also in a seriously grouchy mood. He only took a short nap. In addition to all that, he has lately taken to pushing buttons. All kinds of buttons. Phone keypad buttons, cable box / DVD buttons, washer / dryer buttons, etc., etc. - mostly buttons that we do not want him to push. Today, amidst the crying that resulted from us redirecting him from button pushing, Milo simply ran from thing to thing pushing buttons faster than we could stop him. He restarted our washer 4 times at one point this afternoon. All in all, a very frustrating day. Today was the kind of day where I completely understand why Mom made us go to bed at 8:00 each night - even in the summer when it was completely light outside! Poor baby. He had such a hard day but I have to say, I was more than ready for his bedtime to roll around.
Please keep our little guy in your thoughts in the hope that he gets better soon. If you think about it, send out some extra "patience" thoughts for me too. I am still getting used to life with a toddler - a toddler who is testing his world. It is a big adjustment for all of us.
