One Quick Story

"Quick" because I need to run to go pick up my sweet boy.... However, blogging time is in short supply at home lately since toddlerhood has officially struck and Milo wants lots of Mommy and Daddy time. So, if I don't do this now it may not get done. That said, we have been having so much fun with Milo lately. Mark and I were commenting the other day that he has really gone through a major growth / development spurt these last few weeks. He just seems so different almost every day. As the last video attests, we are enjoying his tendency to be a little giggle-box most days. So, we were at the neighborhood park last night and he was playing on the equipment. He has just figured out how to go down the slide - even the big one - by himself and he is so proud of himself each time he does it. He was up on the ramp and I was playing with him by hiding my head and then jumping out at him (one of his favorite things). He was laughing uncontrollably (one of my favorite things).

Another mom came up with her son and Milo immediately became enamored with the little boy who ended up being a 3 year-old named Chris. He kept watching Chris and would babble at him whenever he walked by. I thought it was so cute at one point because Milo talked a long string of nonsense to Chris at one point at which Chris looked at me and commented "he does not know how to talk." Kids are so funny.

They ended up kind of playing together and going down the side-by-side slide a few times. The mom had a little dog that Milo loved and he kept going over to pet it. All the while he was jabbering and laughing everywhere he went. Right before we got ready to leave, the other mom was watching Milo and asked "Is he always this happy?" When I said, "Yes, most of the time" she replied "Wow, you are really lucky." I said and thought, "Yes, yes I am."
