Go Joe!

We are watching the vice presidential debate. We are about 45 minutes in and so far I actually think both Biden and Palin are doing a decent job. It is bugging me a bit that Palin keeps making up her own questions... I have to say that I am so proud of Joe Biden for clearly stating that he supports same sex civil rights and equal treatment of same sex relationships. I am shocked that he said it so publicly but I am proud that he was not afraid to take a stand on the topic. Go Joe! I hope he continues to do such a good job throughout the rest of the debate. I was concerned that he might talk down to Palin which would make him look like a jerk. I think he is effectively staying on topic. Also, even though I don't support McCain / Palin, I am glad that she is not making a fool of herself like she has in the media over these last few weeks. As only the 2nd woman to ever run for this office, she can't help but be seen as representing all women. I definitely don't want her to win but I do want her to hold her own.

EDIT: Did anyone else think she looked totally uncomfortable holding her baby at the end of the debate?
