So, I am going to start keeping a Gratitude Journal as part of the blog. What I hope for this project is that it will help me practice the art of looking for the joy and the beauty in life, the good developments in the world, the happy stories. Though finding joy at home with Mark and Milo is never an issue, I am going to include my "gratitude thoughts" from the home front as well because I want to be able to look back and remember the happiness they bring me every day. Here goes...
Today I am grateful because:
- Milo's teeth did not bother him too much this weekend.
- As this 60 Minutes article reads, "You have probably never heard a good news story about malnutrition, but you are about to." Doctors Without Borders has started using a newly developed product called Plumpynut. It is literally a life saver of malnourished kids in Africa. I love that it is such a simple idea that is doing so much good in the world for the people that need it most.
- I get to spend the latter part of this week with my sister and my sweet nephews. I always enjoy our trips to San Antonio and it is even better now that Milo is older and can interact with his cousins.
That certainly doesn't encompass everything I am grateful for today but I have to save some things for later posts! By the way, I promise to post some pictures of Milo soon. I know it has been too long.
