Our Week at a Glance

It feels like the last few weeks have just been crazy busy. We have had so much going on both at home and at work. This weekend we had a couple of events but managed to get in some rest time too.

Friday night Mark and I both had work events that centered around the Mavericks. Coincidental, huh? Anyway, Aunt Lanita watched Milo for us late Friday so that we could go to the basketball game and then to the Grand Opening of a new restaurant in my building. One of the owners of the restaurant, DJ Mbenga, is a Mavericks player. Several of the players came to the building to help him celebrate. I am not a basketball fan but it was kind of cool that Dirk Nowitzki and Mark Cuban were both there. I will post some pictures of them later this week... Anyway, it was fun but I realized that I really do not like to be away from Milo all day AND all night. I miss him so much!

On Saturday we celebrated Mark's birthday which was on the 16th. Mark's sister, Renee, took care of Milo and we went to meet Brad for dinner. There was a DJ in town that Mark really wanted to see so we then went out to the club - for about an hour. How funny is that? We literally got the club at midnight and then had to leave at 1:00 so we could pick up Milo when Renee asked us to be there. It was definitely short and sweet!

It seems like our poor baby is getting old enough that he knows when his routine is disturbed. He generally goes to sleep for the night between 9:00 and 10:00 every night. Both nights this weekend he refused to go to sleep until after midnight. When he was at Renee's he did not go to sleep until after 1:00! Needless to say, we were all a little tired today and got in lots of QCT (Quality Couch Time) along with a few naps for all of us.

This week promises to be just as busy with work stuff but I am looking forward to a (hopefully) uneventful couple of days next weekend!

Here are a few pics of sweet Milo from this week. He still takes his pacifier a bit but he definitely has found his fingers. He does not suck or chew on one of them in particular yet but he usually has some combination of them in his mouth quite a bit now.

As you can see, I usually gaze upon my baby while he is sleeping and remark upon how cute he is... thus the abundance of "sleepy" pictures below. How can you not love that sweet face?
