Milo is going to school! Well... eventually going to school. He is officially on the waiting list. We have been so fortunate that Mark's aunt, aka NiNi, watched Milo for us from the time he was a baby and I came back to work. Then about a little over a year ago we put him in 2 times a week Mother's Day Out and then it was 3 times a week Mother's Day Out with NiNi watching him on the off days / times. We have known for awhile that he is ready for more but there have just been so many factors to consider in making a change.
We finally took the plunge and started checking around for places. Long story short, we toured a preschool this week that has been recommended to us by several people and has a wonderful reputation in town. We loved it and Milo had his evaluation day today. They loved him (of course) and he did not want to leave which is always a good sign. We are so happy about the choice and now we just can't wait until a spot opens up for him. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later but at least it gives both him and NiNi a little transition time.
I don't think it is possible to understand how much this kind of decision means until you have a little one that you want to find the right place for. I am so thankfully that this just feels like the perfect fit for him and for us. I am also very happy to have the decision made so I can stop obsessing about it!
