Update

I feel like I am overdue for a quick update on our lives. Things are good. Work has been busy... isn't it always? I start a new building Monday which should be fun. This in-between time at work has been really interesting. I have gotten to be involved in several new business pitches and have helped start up a few other buildings. Working in the corporate office is definitely different but I have enjoyed it as well.

Grandma Dottie has been in town doing rehab after her hip replacement and it has been so nice to get to spend some extra time with her while she is here. Fortunately, the place she is staying is not far from my work so I get to go by relatively often. I have also gotten to spend some quality time with some of my closest friends lately and that is always a treat. The older I get, the more I appreciate the few strong friendships I have.

Milo is wonderful as usual. He is talking more and more and has now learned all the sounds of the alphabet thanks to his Leap Frog Text & Learn. He can sound words out with help so we have really started trying to work on that more often with him. He has started telling us he needs to go potty so we are going to be brave and try the whole potty training thing this weekend. I am honestly not sure if I am ready. I would love for him to be potty trained but if we have to clean up too many messes we will likely just delay the whole thing. We will see how it goes... Should be interesting.

Mark is completely enamored with a new music software that he is learning on his Mac. Poor thing, the only time he gets to play is after we all go to bed so he has had a few weeks straight of late, late nights - I suppose "mornings" would be more appropriate. I don't know how he does it. I have to have 8 hours of sleep a night or I start to get grouchy. Mark is good with 4-5 hours. Of course, he is currently crashed out on the couch beside me so maybe it does eventually catch up with him.

So, life is good. Crazy busy but good. Challenging, frustrating on rare occasions, inspiring, busy... but good.
