Would I be a bad mother if I took a 2-month old to roller derby?

In the end, I decided that the answer to that question was "Yes". Mark has a friend at work who invited us to roller derby this weekend. Yes, I said roller derby. You know, where a bunch of women roller skate in a circle and basically beat each other up... Who knew that the sport has made such a comeback? Anyway, long story short we got out to the event and I decided that it might not be the best idea to go in (loud music, violence, some eccentric people, etc.) so Aunt Lynn and I went to have dinner while Mark and Brad enjoyed the spectacle. Here is a picture to memorialize the event...

We actually had a pretty uneventful weekend (other than the whole roller derby thing). We did find some time for photoshoots though. Our Saturday "shoot" was fairly unsuccessful. Mark and I think we may have been trying too hard. The baby was fussy so 90% of the photos involve his pacifier. However, Mark felt inspired yesterday while I was napping and he got some really good shots. He has realized the key is to take the pictures either right when Milo wakes up or right after he has eaten. He is such an intuitive Daddy!

Finally, this picture is just too cute not to include. I swear sometimes I just want to "eat him up" he is so cute. As Sarah used to say about Brooks... "I would like to keep him in my pocket and snack on him all day!"
