We went to see Dr. Payne yesterday (isn't that just the worst doctor name ever?). He is a Perinatal specialist and has a big fancy ultrasound machine. He took a few measurements and his verdict is that Great's abdomen is only 2 weeks behind in size. Yeah! He seemed completely unconcerned about the situation. He said that he does not need to see us back for three weeks but that we definitely should see Dr. Maxey every week from here on out. So... it looks like we are back to our four week forecast aiming for the 38 week mark. Mark is so relieved! He was a little nervous about the baby countdown ending in just two weeks...
Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers this week. It really was nice to get such good news! Of course, I will keep you updated as things progress in the coming weeks.
(By the way, thank you Jammi for the snowcone lead! We will definitely be going by there this weekend so I can get my fix.)
