The Weekly Recap

Let me just say that you are going to be shortchanged in this post... I was just finishing a lengthly post which I had poured my heart and soul into. It was perfect. Just the right mix of information, sarcasm, humor and I was about to upload a picture. Ironically, before I uploaded the picture I thought "Hmmm.. I better save this so that I won't accidentally lose what I have written." So, I highlighted everything to move it over to Word so that I could save it / do a spell check and it magically disappeared. Sadly, there is no "undo" or "back" key on the blog system so the post is gone forever. You will just have to wonder at how fabulous it may have been. What is fairly amusing about this is it kind of summarizes what I was writing about... all the little things that have happened this week which I think may be the universe's way of trying to teach me patience before the baby comes.

You are going to get the bullet point summary below because I have neither the energy to retype everything nor the desire to relive all of the instances in such intimate detail twice this morning.

  • Work has been crazy! The building owners were in town this week. I really enjoy working with them but there is always a lot of preparation to get ready for their visits. There are lots of other work things going on plus we just found out we will probably have to move our office in the next few weeks. All to be done before maternity leave! Ahhhh! I also signed up for an IREM class a few weeks ago (in hindsight probably not the best idea) which I am now officially half way through time-wise and and I have only done the first session (of 8). Again, ahhhh! The pressure!
  • Our childbirth instructor ditched our class again this week. So, basically, she made it to two of the four. I won't really elaborate other than to say both times she didn't show up found us wandering around the hospital carrying 4 pillows and a comforter. The first time we were the only ones that had not gotten the message but the second time at least we had the rest of the class to keep us company.
  • Our crib debacle continues. We finally gave up and ordered another, nicer (aka more expensive) model from JcPenney so it would match. We got it yesterday... it matches perfectly... however the bottom drawer is broken and the back side is scratched. We still plan on keeping it though. Crib shopping is a total beating.
  • Finally, we had our redo 3D sonogram last Saturday. The baby did not feel like cooperating and had his hands and arms in front of his face almost the whole time. I think he may just be tired of being photographed! At the end we finally got this shot. It is not great of his face but I think his little hand is too cute.

That is going to have to be all for now. I will try to be more entertaining next time...
