I attended the funeral today for a woman I never met. I have worked closely with her husband through an industry organization and he has kept us updated throughout her recent, intense battle with cancer. It was a beautiful service - most of which consisted of David telling stories about his wonderful wife, Vickie. She was an amazing person and in listening to David's stories about her I was inspired... inspired to love more openly, listen more closely and to give of myself freely to those in my life without any expectation of them in return.
I never met Vickie but today I am thankful for this gift that she has given to me.
