How could I leave out the beaches? Oh, the beaches. We had two great beach experiences in addition to our amazing beach at Paradise Point. One day while we were in San Diego we took a 5 minute trip from the resort to Ocean Beach. Brad had been there before and we were so glad he recommended it. It was a perfect day. The weather was lovely, the beach was beautiful and it was Farmer's Market day on their downtown strip so we got to walk around the artists, the food stalls and the musicians like real locals. I was so taken with everything that I didn't get any pictures! I will come back and add some of the good photos from Mark and Brad's stash.
The final adventure of our trip took us to Laguna Beach - somewhere we had been before (thanks to Brian) and that we recommended to Brad. It is the kind of place that just equals relaxation and though we were just there for a day, we enjoyed it to the fullest!
We left for the John Wayne airport on our final morning with Starbucks in hand, relaxed and happy to be going home. Not quite so happy when we got off the plane in Dallas to 100+ degree temps (that have stuck around since)! We didn't realize we would appreciate those 65 - 73 degree California days quite so much in hindsight. For that and more we will miss you California! What a trip!
