Night on the Town

Aunt Lynn was nice enough to babysit ALL night for us on Friday so for the 2nd time since Milo was born, we got to really go out on the town. Since it was our anniversary, we splurged and got a hotel in the downtown area, met up with Brad and went out to hear another friend of ours who DJs at a local club. We had such a great time! It was wonderful to hang out with Brad - especially since we don't get to see him as much as we used to. We met up at his house to hang out for awhile before going to the club.

See the poster behind us in the below shot? Brad is giving it to us for our house. It is going to look so good! It is so handy to have a graphic artist for a best friend!

Here we are being silly... Brad was concerned that we were all wearing black tops, jeans and black shoes. We told him that is just the Dallas "clubbin" uniform.

Once we got to the club we just gave the DJ's name and walked in like we owned the place. We have known Rob for something like 14 years. He and Mark like much of the same music although he doesn't get to play it out very often. There is a lot of HipHop at the clubs now with some mash-ups thrown in for good measure. Not really our favorite musical fare but hey, what are you going to do?

Rob got us a private booth so we were able to sit by the DJ booth (and didn't even have to pay the crazy expensive fee). This next picture of Brad is typical...




All in all we had a great time, we went to another club for a little while after Rob was done at the Candleroom and then we were on our way back to Brad's. After chatting for a bit, Mark and I went on our merry way. We definitely got too little sleep and might have had a tiny hangover the next day but it was well worth it. It was a perfect crazy night but we were so happy to go home to our little man the next morning.
