3 Months Old Today!

Our sweet baby boy is 3 months old today! It is amazing to me that just 3 months ago we brought our little one into the world. He was so tiny then and now he is such a big, healthy boy. I have been trying to think of little things about him that I can relay to commemorate the occasion...

• He still does not smile or giggle often but when he does it lights up his whole face.
• These last few weeks he starts to get really grouchy at about 8:00 each night. In fact, last night we had his first crying fit ever. We were finishing his bath and I was putting on his lotion and clothes (and fixing his hair of course) and he just got mad. He cried / screamed for a good 30 minutes for no apparent reason. It was pretty cute. (Do you think that only a parent could think that?) We realized later we should have shot a video of it ~ at least a few seconds of it ~ so that we could show him when he gets older.
• He has absolutely no interest in turning over but he loves to jump when you hold him in a standing position. He will flex and push off with those little legs and I can assure you that you will tire of the activity long before he will.
• He will finally allow himself to be entertained by some of his "baby" stuff (at least for a few minutes). Up until the last week or so he would start crying if you put him in anything where there were things hanging in his face or bright colored objects in his immediate vicinity which he could not escape.
• He still loves his pacifier but he seems to need it less. You can usually tell when he really wants it because he will start sucking like it is already in his mouth. Also, he is just now getting to the point that the pacifier does not always work when he is upset. I already miss those days!

Finally, I have a few pictures to mark some of his / our biggest developments.

• He has outgrown his little sink bath. We have officially moved him to the big bathtub. I love that little pad. It works great! I do miss the ease of baths at the sink though...

• We really did it! We moved him to his crib this weekend. He has done just fine with the move (of course). I am not sure why his onesie is pulled up in these pictures but it is a good segue to his next development...
• Milo is officially in size 2 diapers now. Ahhh, just 3 months ago the Newborn size barely fit him. We actually bought Preemie diapers to use for a few weeks.

So our sweet boy is growing and his personality is beginning to come out. I love watching him develop and turn in to the little boy that he will be. I am truly amazed that these 3 months have passed so quickly... yet, in another way it seems like Milo has been with us forever. I love that he is our little boy and that we have been blessed with having him in our lives.
