Milo started Kindergarten this week (otherwise know as Primary at his Montessori school). He was so excited! He had actually moved to the physical classroom the week before but it was still a big day. I mean really! Kindergarten!
Mark picked him up at the end of the day and asked how his day was. After saying it was good, he said, "Daddy, I need to get to school very early tomorrow. Mark asked why and Milo's response was, "I have to cut out my triangles and do my questions and... well, I just have a lot of work to do." He also seemed distinctly annoyed that his teacher had them all put their work up between lessons just at the point that Milo was enjoying himself. I am pretty sure he thought he was going to learn everything in the world on that one day.
It reminds me of when I was beginning Kindergarten and I asked Mom why we had to have weekends...
