We thought we were being terribly clever by choosing to go to the Zoo on Easter. We thought we would have the whole place to ourselves. That didn't quite work out but it did not matter in the least. We had a wonderful time despite having to share the day.
The Dallas Zoo has really always sucked big time (especially compared to the Fort Worth Zoo which is awesome). However, people have been telling us that the new "Giants of the Savannah" exhibit is great. We thought it was worth checking out.
All of the exhibits let you get up close and personal with the animals and they have the zoo keepers around talking about the animals. You even get to feed the giraffes which is really, really cool.

They have a bunch of animal statues like the ones at the San Diego Zoo. Statues! You know we like posing with statues!
Milo loved the Aviary.
He was intrigued by the birds and the birds were definitely intrigued by him.
One last photo opportunity and then off we go. Everyone was right! It is a great exhibit. Statues and all.
