The Letter M

So, apparently, names that begin with the letter "M" are an indicator of special people in my life... Besides the obvious (Mark and Milo), I have a few other wonderful "Ms" who I am so grateful to call my friends. If you are reading this, you know who you are!

I had an "M" filled weekend a few weeks ago in which I got to enjoy spending time with my friends Mikki and Maryann. Mikki and I have known each other since my early college years and we have been thrilled to see her twice in the last few months as she has a new client in town. Mikki was here for the whole weekend and she agreed to go with me on Sunday morning to support Maryann in the half marathon she had been training for over these last few months. Mik is training for a marathon too so it was perfect! We got to the 7 mile mark just in time to see Maryann run by and then we took the DART train to the finish line.

We were both in awe of how easy Maryann made it look! She didn't even seem tired. After a round of congratulations we were off as a group to celebrate over brunch. So much fun! On separate note, don't we all look cool in our shades?

After two full weekend visits, it was only at the end of the last day of Mikki's trip that we realized we had not taken ONE picture together. Not one! So, we quickly remedied that error.

I love this look on Milo's face. If I recall, he seemed to be concerned that we were not taking his puzzle seriously enough. You know, because puzzles are serious business... especially alphabet puzzles. He has two and he knows where they both are at all times - along with the various letters that are in attendance (vs. those that are hiding under the sofa or are on safari in the backyard). Like I said, serious business.

That "M"... It is a good letter all the way around.
