I couldn't resist sharing some of the Instagram pictures from our trip to DC in April. Though I went early for the IREM conference, the real fun began when Mark and Milo arrived. They were just in time to see the cherry blossoms!
This picture makes me laugh every single time I see it. I am still not sure whether Milo saw something crazy (entirely possible on the metro) or was just surprised by how fast the train goes. Sweet, funny boy!
This was the only cherry blossom weeping willow we saw on our visit. You can't tell but the Capital Building is just to the side of it. Not sure if Milo was supposed to be climbing in the tree but we figured it was a good photo op once he was up there!
This was Milo's sight seeing list for the first day. I think we made it through three items on the list... After an entire day of walking Milo started bargaining to stay in the room and relax the next day. He had it all worked out. He said "Mommy, it will be great! I will play my game, you can read and Daddy can listen to his music." Happily we convinced him of the value of seeing the rest of the things on his list (and got him out of the hotel room!) but we did build in time for relaxation and playing at the pool the next few days!
Toward the end of day two... I see some relaxation time coming!
This was at the Martin Luther King Memorial. Mark kept getting annoyed that people were in his shot. Obviously he finally accepted the inevitable.
My sweet boy...
The cherry blossoms started blooming Monday and these pictures were all on Friday as the petals were all drifting down toward the ground, You can't tell here but it looked like pink snow falling from the trees. Do you like Milo's pose? I am pretty sure all the monuments he had seen by this point were rubbing off on him!!
You know, just hanging out...
Speaking of poses... Not sure where this one came from. Haha! One of Milo's goals was to see President Obama. We might not have actually seen him in person BUT we did see the motorcade and Air Force 2 one day. In more ways than one it was a successful trip!
